Healthy lifestyle – Pura Vida
Most of us usually go to worm sunny destinations to escape hurried, stressful and not entirely healthy lifestyles that we lead. We usually go for a week or two down south to recharge and rejuvenate our bodies and minds, and then go back to the everyday grind. Back home, a few days into your regular routine, and you wish that you were back on vacation again…. and the cycle continues. You say to yourself that there has to be a better way and whish for those days when the better way finely arrives.
You will find that the pace of life in Costa Rica is more relaxed and unhurried. You can lie on the beach and do absolutely nothing or be more adventurous and zip through the rainforest on a canopy ride. There is so much to see and do in Costa Rica that you can explore this beautiful paradise for years to come. You won’t need to deal with constant traffic congestion on the roads either or shoveling snow.
Just imagine… you can be surfing one day on the Pacific side and the next day having a leisurely stroll on a beach on the Caribbean coast. If pampering yourself is your cup of tea then head up to a hot springs river in the mountains surrounded by rainforest. While you are there stay at a 5 star health retreat with a hot spring fed olympic size pool, three hot pools, a steam room, and a full spa for less then $90 per day.
If you like an active lifestyle and enjoy outdoor activities there is plenty to do in Costa Rica. This land offers something for everyone, from leisurely walks on the beach or bird watching to more adventurous activities such as white water rafting or canopy tours. Costa Rica is a treasure trove for eco-tourists with it’s rich biodiversity. We will cover this in more detail in Natural beauty/Spectacular ecosystem section.
Healthy lifestyle also means healthy eating. If you buy your fruits and vegetables and other produce at outdoor markets you can be sure that they are organically grown. It will also cost you less then what you will pay in supermarkets, not more. You will find that even staples such as chicken, tastes differently here… it actually has more flavor to it.
